The Apple Watch Ultra sport gains even more workout options thanks to the third-party Slopes app. Once installed, the watch will be able to track your ski or snowboard workout and can even identify which resort you are at. However, all of these features are limited to paying subscribers.
Ramps also work with the Watch Ultra’s Action button. The Switch is exclusive to Watch Ultra and Slopes is one of the few apps that has taken advantage of it so far. You can set the button to start the workout with one-press Slopes. Pausing requires pressing the action button and the side button simultaneously. Ramps works with Siri too, so voice commands are right on the menu.
Plus, all Apple Watch devices can switch to Water Lock mode when you start a Slopes workout to prevent accidental touches on the screen with all that snow. You can exit Waterlock mode by pressing and holding the Digital Crown for a few seconds.
