After a not-so-secret announcement about its latest phone last month, Infinix has “officially” announced its latest Infinix Zero 5G 2023 phone powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1080. For $239, the Zero 5G 2023 comes with 256GB of storage paired with 8GB of RAM. Or up to 13GB when extended, with some storage reserved for this. The device runs on XOS12 based on Android 13.
As a refresher, the Zero 5G 2023 has a large 6.78-inch IPS LCD display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The user can switch between three modes: 60Hz, 120Hz, and automatic smart switching refresh rate, which (supposedly) switches between 60Hz and 120Hz between display and screen scrolling. It should be noted that there is also a touch sampling rate of 240 Hz. The phone is powered by a 5000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
There is a 50MP AI camera and a secondary 2MP camera for depth sensing and macro respectively. There’s a Super Night Mode and Night Filter for low-light photos, the main camera supports slow motion at 960fps, and there’s a Sky Remap editing feature to turn the hazy sky blue.
The phone will come in Pearl White, Coral Orange, and Diver Black. Infinix mentions a retail price of around $239 but also notes that the price “will vary based on region.”
