Xiaomi is expected to announce MIUI 14 later this month and we now have a leaked changelog detailing the many changes coming to Xiaomi phones soon.

MIUI 14 features an improved system architecture with pre-installed apps that take up less space and also use less power resulting in better performance. Users will also find more customization options with the all-new widget layout, home screen folders and “Super Icons”. Privacy has also been fixed with user data not being stored in the cloud and all actions performed locally on the device.

The Mi AI voice assistant will gain more capabilities such as document scanning, translations, and a communication assistant with a spam call filter. Xiaomi has also fixed the stability of pairing and connection with other Xiaomi devices such as earphones, tablets and TVs. There is an improved search function in settings with search history and results sorted by categories. MIUI 14 also brings support for more wireless card readers and speeds up connection using mobile data when the Wi-Fi signal is weak.
