Two of Samsung’s upcoming smartphones were spotted on Geekbench online database today, which likely means they’re set to go official very soon. The phones in question are the Galaxy A54 5G and Galaxy F04s.
The former will be the latest member of Samsung’s best-selling range, the A5x, while the latter will probably be a Flipkart-exclusive device.
The Galaxy A54 5G prototype that ran Geekbench managed a single-core score of 776 and a multi-core score of 2,599. Tested on Android 13 (no doubt with Samsung’s One UI 5 on top). At least one version of the phone will come with 6GB of RAM, though it’s very likely that an 8GB option will be available as well.
The chipset at the helm is known as S5E8835, which according to previous rumors will be the successor to Exynos 1280. Its official name will most likely be Exynos 1380. This comes with a CPU that has four 2.4GHz performance cores and four 2.0GHz efficient cores. The Mali G68 GPU is also present.
According to previous rumors and leaks, the Galaxy A54 5G will have a 5,100mAh battery with 25W charging support, a 50MP main camera, and a 6.4-inch 120Hz display, and it was leaked last month.
Moving on to the Galaxy F04s, this will be an entry-level model offered exclusively by Flipkart in India, because that’s what the F series is all about. So far, it’s also been a matter of rebranding existing devices, and it remains to be seen which model the F04s will be its twin.
The prototype Geekbench ran achieved achieved a single-core score of 163 and a multi-core score of 944. It is powered by MediaTek Helio P35 SoC which is paired with PowerVR Rogue GE8320 GPU. It has 3GB of RAM and runs Android 12, unfortunately — that’s the version it can run with.
