We’ve been hearing for a while now about Google’s plans to get into the foldable smartphone segment @employee It’s here with the latest batch of alleged Pixel Fold renders and more leaked specs.
The Pixel Fold is expected to be launched in May 2023 and we can see that it brings a familiar design language inspired by the Pixel 7 series with a camera protector on the back that houses three cameras like the Pixel 7 Pro. The design also reminds us of the Oppo Find N in terms of dimensions.
The Pixel Fold will measure 158.7 x 139.7 x 5.7mm (8.3mm including the rear camera bump) in its unfolded state and OnLeaks believes the main screen will come in at 7.69in. We can see some noticeably thicker edges on the inner screen as well as a punch-hole camera on the right side. The cover display is said to come in at around 5.79 inches and will also boast a punch-hole selfie camera in the centre.
The Pixel Fold will likely be powered by the Tensor G2 chipset with 12GB of RAM as standard, plenty of storage options, and Android 13 out of the box. The phone is likely to be available in silver and black, at a starting price of $1,799. We also get information about possible stylus support.
